Curiosity drove Wino from an active research career to academic writing and innovation management. Nevertheless, Wino has remained in close contact with the academic world and joined the Gebhard Lab from 2019 to 2021. With his extraordinary wealth of experience from his PhD times – where he studied the molecular mechanisms underlying heart failure as well as inflammatory responses in myocarditis – and his powerful mindset to develop and refine state-of-the-art ideas, and build up manuscripts and proposals, it is not surprising that he has his own successful company WiWright.
