PhD Student
Angela (Angie) holds both B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Biology from Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETHZ, CH). She is currently pursuing her PhD in Biomedicine at the University of Zurich. Her research is focused on the identification of cardiovascular sex determinants for left ventricular hypertrophy and heart failure. She uses state-of-the-art imaging modalities including small animal cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Positron Emission Tomography (PET). Angela also applies a broad range of molecular biology techniques to assess signal transduction pathways. Outside of the lab, she loves trying new recipes and food in her kitchen. Books are her constant companions and a good book is never missing from her bag.
