Bianca graduated from medical school in 2021 at the University of Basel. She joined our research group the same year as a full-time doctoral student. She worked with our team on different research projects during the COVID-19 pandemic, investigating the impact of sex and gender on acute and long-term outcomes of SARS-CoV-2 infection. For her work in this field, she won the best oral presentation award at the Congress of the Swiss Society of Intensive Care Medicine in 2022. Since August 2022 Bianca works as a resident in Internal Medicine at the Bruderholzspital in Basel.
