Michael is head physician and a board-certified neurosurgeon specializing in spine and spinal cord surgery at the Swiss Paraplegic Center in Nottwil. With a dual degree in medicine and natural sciences, he combines experimental, translational, and clinical research in functional neurovascular imaging to investigate the neuro-hematopoietic-vascular axis and its impact on cardiovascular outcomes. Alongside his clinical and research responsibilities, Michael is the father of four children and pursues his passions for karate and endurance sports.
