Congratulations to Susan Bengs on receiving a grant from the Forschungskredit PostDoc from the UZH. Her research project will deal with the role of sex hormones, inflammation and sympathetic activity on the development and course of left ventricular hypertrophy.

Sandro will work on the SNSF project «Age-Dependent Remodelling of the Female Heart – Protective or Detrimental? Exploring the Role of Age, Sex Hormones and Myocardial Infarction on the Remodelling of the Heart» for his master thesis.
Katharina will work on her medical master’s thesis on the oncological topic of «Predictive Value of Myocardial 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose (18F-FDG) Uptake for Diagnosis of Coronary Artery Disease in Patients Undergoing Oncologic Positron Emission Tomography».
We are pleased that Geoff will help with projects involving quantitative image analysis and imaging of mouse models.
